Jackson County sheriff's detectives arrested Sean Geoffrey Myers, 46, Tuesday in connection with the March 10 incident, which court documents say took place at a rural property on Suncrest Road. According to a charging document filed by the Jackson County District Attorney's Office, Myers broke into the dwelling and forced the victim to ingest Ambien before assaulting her. Detectives' probable cause affidavit for Myers arrest is currently sealed. Prosecutors are charging Myers with first-degree sodomy, causing another person to ingest a controlled substance and first-degree burglary. If convicted of first-degree sodomy, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 100 months in prison under Measure 11 guidelines. Court records show Myers has no criminal record in Oregon. He's being held in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of more than $1 million bail.
