The National Weather Service has instituted a frost advisory from 11 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. Tuesday, a notice that covers Jackson and parts of southern Siskiyou County. "Clear skies this evening will be eclipsed by increasing high clouds by sunrise Tuesday morning," the Weather Service advisory reads. "Light winds and mostly clear skies this evening will allow temperatures to cool rapidly before high clouds arrive, leading to the possibility of frost and freezing conditions in some areas." Weather officials added a strong inversion will also be present. Sensitive outdoor vegetation should be covered in preparation for the event.
