Mountain Ave., Ashland. Cost is $6. A brief lesson will be followed by the puppet show and play time. A snack and related craft or activity will follow. Polar Express at Railroad Park: The Medford Rogue Rotary Club will present the annual Polar Express at Railroad Park from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, at Railroad Park off Table Rock Road in Medford. The park will be decorated for the holiday season, and kids activities will be available in Santa's workshop. Rides will be available on the miniature steam trains at $2 per person, and hot chocolate and photos with Santa will be available for purchase. Attendees are asked to park at the Rogue Valley Mall parking lot near J.C. Penney, where a free shuttle will transport park goers. WinterSpring Benefit: Gypsy Soul — singer Cilette Swann and multi-instrumentalist Roman Morykit — will present its 14th annual benefit concert for WinterSpring, a local nonprofit for those dealing with loss and grief, at the Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St. Ashland. Swann and Morykit will perform acoustic, soulful songs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. The duo will be joined by Mikey Stevens and Michael Forney to form a full band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.
