The robbery occurred at 5:40 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station, 7600 Highway 62 in White City, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. The manager told sheriff’s deputies that two men wearing stocking caps and bandannas over their faces approached him as he was opening the station, deputies said. One of the men displayed a handgun and ordered the manager to open the door to the business and then the station’s safe, deputies said. The men then told the manager to lay face-down on the floor before the two robbers fled on foot, deputies said. There was no vehicle seen or heard, deputies said. Advertisement One of the robbers was described as a white male in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and a stocky build. The second was described as a white male in his 20s standing 5-feet- 8-inches tall and a thin build. Both were wearing dark, or black clothing, stocking caps and bandannas. Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the case. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to telephone sheriff’s detectives at 774-6800.
