Bernard fares well at golf tourney Christian Bernard of Phoenix has been keeping busy on the golf course this summer. Bernard, 10, finished 10th in the Pee Wee Division (9-10-year-old) among United States golfers and 25th out of the 100-competitor field at the Junior World Tournament at Singing Hills Resort in San Diego July 17-19. Bernard made the two-day cut with scores of 62-62 on the par-57 layout. He posted a 60 in his final round. More recently, Bernard won the Rogue Valley Junior at Rogue Valley Country Club July 23-24. That was followed with a fourth-place finish at a Grants Pass Tournament on July 27 and a victory at the Bear Creek Skills Challenge on July 29.
