Naumes tops SCL all-stars St. Mary's dynamic running back J.P. Naumes made an impact on both sides of the line of scrimmage during this football season. For his efforts, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound senior was selected as a Southern Cascade League all-star as both an offensive and defensive back. Naumes got off to a fast start this season with 10 touchdowns and 704 rushing yards after the first three games. He was slowed a little by injuries, but still contributed mightily to the Crusaders production. Cascade Christian landed two players on the SCL first team. Senior lineman Tim Milojevich was picked on offense, while Jack Cook was tabbed as a defensive back. SCL champion Lost River received top honors with Justin Pyle being selected co-offensive player of the year along with Andy Kness of Bonanza. Ryan Hartman of Lost River was chosen as defensive player of the year, while Lost River's Dave Hill was picked as coach of the year. Cascade Christian had four players chosen on the second team. William Crosby and Brian Hammers were honored on the offensive side, while Milojevich and Damon Prins were selected as defensive players. St. Mary's received second-team recognition with Travis Erickson on offense and Gabe Winfrey on defense.
