UO's Lee rolls into quarters ST. LOUIS -- Pac-10 Conference champion Doug Lee moved into the quarterfinals of the NCAA Wrestling Championships at 184 pounds Thursday, earning two victories to remain in the hunt for a national title. The junior from Crater High advanced into the final eight for the first time in his career at Oregon. Lee will wrestle for a chance at the semifinals today with the third session beginning at 9 a.m. PST. Two other Duck wrestlers, Brian Watson (133) and Eugene Harris (157) were eliminated Thursday when both lost a pair of matches. Lee, the sixth seed at 184, disposed of Iowa's Jessman Smith, 5-3, in the first round and followed that with a second-round win over No. 11 Dave Murray of Lock Haven, 10-7. "It was great to watch Doug work today," said Oregon coach Chuck Kearney. "Doug is wrestling the best I have ever seen him and he looks poised to make some noise here. I think he has a shot in the next two days. He is exciting to watch."
