WHO: Anyone 14 or over who takes part in the harvest of crabs, clams, mussels, oysters, piddocks, scallops, shrimp or abalone, or anyone who is in possession of them in the field. Freshwater crayfish and clam harvesters are exempt. WHY: Adopted by Oregon Legislature to fund shellfish management and enforcement. COST: $6.50 annually for Oregon residents, and $16.50 for non-residents. A three-day, non-resident license will cost $9. The prices include a $1.50 agent fee for each license.
