Australian NPIRE North is a traveling team from Townsville of the Queensland province in Australia. It has played several teams on the West Coast and continues its Medford tour tonight at St. Mary’s. The Australian team cut its deficit to three midway through the fourth quarter, but the Challengers (1-0) went back up by 10 a couple minutes later. With Winter leading the way, just four players scored for the Challengers. Jason Wyncoop had 11 points, Dante Olson 10 and Christian Kammerzell nine. Olson pulled down 10 rebounds, Wyncoop had seven and Winter six. NPIRE North was led by Jordan Kennett’s 23 points and Brendan Gage’s nine. AUSTRALIAN NPIRE NORTH (45) — Royal 0, Farrell 2, Jorgenson 5, Kennett 23, Pearce 3, Williams 3, Gage 9, Akee 0, Cranely 0. Totals: 17 5-10 45. CASCADE CHRISTIAN (51) — Palmer 0, Kammerzell 9, Wager 0, Morse 0, Olson 10, Wyncoop 11, Cochran 0, Winter 21, Wheeler 0. Totals: 23 3-8 51.
