Nohnych, Spartans edge Lake Tahoe Sep 24, 2017 12:00 AM A A Kalem Nohnych scored twice, including the go-ahead goal with 4 minutes, 36 seconds left in double overtime, as the Southern Oregon Spartans edged the Lake Tahoe Icemen, 5-4, during Western States Hockey League action at The RRRink on Sunday. Jakub Mecir added two assists and Ty-Andrew Traynor and Miroslav Smid recorded one goal and one assist apiece for the Spartans, who improved to 1-2. Keegan Randell had a goal against Lake Tahoe (2-1), which outshot Southern Oregon, 35-30.
