Ashland police request help in Mill Pond area burglaries ASHLAND - A rash of break-ins last week prompted police to ask for help finding the suspects. More than 10 separate burglaries to homes in the Mill Pond area near East Main Street are linked by similar evidence at the scene and the same method of entry, said Ashland police Sgt. Kirk Cromwell. He would not elaborate on how the suspects entered or what evidence was left behind. The break-ins, some dating back to Monday, all happened between 3 and 10 p.m. when residents were not home, Cromwell said. Other area residents reported that someone knocked on their doors or rang doorbells and then ran off, he added. Two more burglaries were reported Saturday on Village Park Drive and Munson Drive, just a few blocks from the police department. Mostly small electronic items such as laptop computers, cameras and digital video disk players were reported stolen. The residences themselves also were damaged. Police said they are seeking two teenage males who may have been seen on other people's property. No further suspect descriptions were available.
