Helen May Largent Lukes Sunday Jul 12, 2015 at 2:00 AM Helen May Largent Lukes Helen May Largent Lukes was born February 19, 1924 in Midland, Ore. to Hilbert and Mildred Largent. She passed away June 27, 2015 at Rogue Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Helen attended Midland, Altamont, and Summers Lane schools. She graduated from KUHS in 1940 at age 16, the youngest person in her class. She graduated from Western Business College. Helen retired in 1986 after working in various doctor's offices for 28 years. Following the death of her husband Edward in 1983, she moved to Medford. She enjoyed traveling to 35 countries and most of the United States. She was a member of Klamath Falls Elkettes, Midland Grange, Rogue Valley Friendship Club, and the Medford Widow-Widower's Club. She is survived by sons, Fred Schneyder (Shauna) of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Michael Schneyder (Carolyn) of Rogue River, Ore.; her daughter, Diane Legner (Bernie) of Medford, Ore.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; brother, Bill Largent; sister, Betty Takacs; and daughter, Sue Daughters.
