Ashland assault suspect could have bite marks Ashland police say the man they believe sexually assaulted two women on Friday may have been bitten by his second victim. According to Capt. Lisa Brooks, bite marks may have been left on one the assailant's arms during a struggle with a 23-year-old woman who was walking alone on Manzanita Street about 10 p.m. Friday. Less than 24 hours earlier, at 12:30 a.m., a 19-year-old Southern Oregon University student was groped and robbed at knife point as she walked along Indiana Street. Police believe the women were accosted by the same man, although neither saw their attacker's face. The man grabbed both women from behind and he wore a ski mask during the second attack. Although police are investigating tips in the case, Brooks said officers are counting on the public's assistance. "We're asking anybody who might have seen anything to come forward," she added. Anyone with information in the case may call 482-5211 or the TIPS hot line at 552-2125. Police say the attacker is believed to be a white male, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a medium build.
