Medford police Sunday arrested Lopez on charges of first-degree burglary, felony fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree assault. harassment, third-degree criminal mischief and interfering with a police report. He was lodged Sunday the Jackson County Jail on $50,000 bail. Drugs — Leon Douglas Remstedt, Sr., 45, no known address. Talent police Sunday arrested Remstedt on charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving while revoked. He was lodged Sunday in jail on $10,000 bail. Sex-offender registration — Richard Leroy Cate, 58, of Grenada, Calif. Cate made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was booked Monday in jail and released. Crime reports Theft — 1400 block of Honeysuckle Avenue, Medford. Medford police at 10:19 a.m. Sunday took a report of the theft of two laptops from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,900. Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 6:47 a.m. Monday of the theft of a women's bicycle. The loss was valued at $2,500.
