Online letters, June 2 By Mail Tribune readers Updated: Jun 02, 2021 10:48 AM A A War coverage distorted The coverage of the recent war by Hamas against Israel was horribly distorted by the liberal press to make Israel look bad. The purpose of Hamas in starting the war was to kill Jews. Israel merely defended its own people and attempted, at its own peril, to avoid killing civilians. Now Jews in America are being attacked on the streets of American cities by young men carrying Palestinian flags. This is America. I can’t believe this is happening. The same thing happened in Germany when the Nazis took control. Maynard Telpner Medford Hamas can’t lose Hamas looks for something to happen in Israel for an excuse to send a swarm of rockets. Israel tries to take out the rocket launchers. Cease fire. Then Western countries and NGOs shower Hamas with money. They can’t lose. The pattern repeats. Ira Edwards Medford
