He was the second of seven children in the Clark family. Sammy was often our entertainment as his sense of humor was so contagious. Most people who knew him well have several "Sammy" stories to tell. From a young age he was very independent. When he was a toddler, if anyone told him his shoes were on the wrong feet he would say, "I know, but that's just the way I like them!" Sammy would not allow us to call him Sam or Sammy but would scream unless we called him "Sammy Baby." Throughout his life, Sammy had friends from all walks of life. He did not judge and accepted people as they were. He was a free spirit and lived life to its fullest in his own "Sammy Baby" way. He was off-the-charts intelligent and interested in so many things. He loved deeply and lived so much in his 21 years on earth. He loved his siblings and was very affectionate with his younger brothers and sisters. His absence will be tough on his family and friends, but we are comforted knowing Sammy developed his own true relationship with Jesus and reaffirmed his commitment to his Savior as recently as this Easter Sunday. Sammy even portrayed the role of Jesus in his 'Night of the Notables' presentation at Jacksonville Elementary. There is no question where Sammy Baby now resides. Sammy leaves behind four brothers, DJ, Levi, Asa, and Bo; two sisters, Sophie And Teli; his loving mother and father, Dennis and Diane; his grandfather, Ray Beard and his grandmother, Paula Bassett; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends with whom he was blessed. In the last year Sammy lost two grandmothers and his papa. These losses affected him deeply. We know that they joyfully welcomed him to his heavenly home. Please join us for a celebration of Sammy Baby's life at noon, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home church of Applegate Christian Fellowship. All are invited to celebrate his life, say our goodbyes, and find joy in the fact that we will see him again someday.
