The measure asks Oregon voters whether to uphold a temporary income tax surcharge approved by the 2003 Oregon Legislature. The League of Women Voters will hold its forum at 7 p.m. at the Jackson County Auditorium, 10 S. Oakdale St., Medford. It will be televised live on RVTV. Featured panelists include Jim Adams, county court administrator; Hank Collins, Health and Human Services director; Dick Gregory, Medford schools superintendent; Donald Bruland of Senior Services, Rogue Valley Council of Governments; Kevin Talbert, Rogue Community College board member; Rita Sullivan of OnTrack Inc.; and other business and civic leaders. The John Birch Society will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. in the Anne Basker Auditorium, 604 N.W. Sixth St., Grants Pass. Featured speakers will be state Reps. Gordon Anderson, R-Grants Pass, Susan Morgan, R-Myrtle Point, and Dennis Richardson, R-Central Point, and Sen. Jason Atkinson, R-Jacksonville.
