Medals are awarded to those 18 and younger who finish. Registration and packet pick-up information are available at ashlandmonsterdash.com . Till 11:30 a.m. — The Growers and Crafters Market on Oak Street between Lithia Way and East Main Street in Ashland will have costumed vendors, pumpkin decorating and more. A donut-eating contest will be at 10:30 a.m., plus more activities. 1 p.m. — Paddington Station opens its Haunted Basement at 125 E. Main St., Ashland, where kids can meet the resident mad scientist and his assistant Igor till 2:30 p.m. 1 p.m. — A spooky storytelling party will be held till 3 p.m. at Tree House Books, 15 N. Main St., Ashland. 1:30 p.m. — A Halloween storytelling session with Jeannie Renaux and her Shadow Puppet Theater will be presented at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. Children are encouraged to wear costumes but not masks. 1:30 p.m. — Photographer Judith Pavlik will take photos of kids 12 and younger till 3:30 p.m. at Ashland Art Center, 357 E. Main St. Photos are $5, and proceeds go to Ashland Food Bank. 2:30 p.m. — The Children's Halloween Parade will start in front of the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. The procession will be led by the band Samba Like it Hot, and costumed revelers will march down East Main Street to the Ashland Plaza. Ashland DanceWorks will perform Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” on Pioneer Street. Families and children line up on Third Street between East Main Street and Lithia Way. Adults without children follow behind and line up on Siskiyou Boulevard, in front of the Ashland library. 5:30 p.m. — Trick-or-treat like a grown-up with a dinner and wine from till 9 p.m. at the Hallo-Wine at Belle Fiore Winery , 100 Belle Fiore Lane, Ashland. Three-course meal seatings will be at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m. Rock band L.E.F.T. — singer, songwriter and guitarist Bret Levick, Dobro player Bob Evoniuk, bass player Greg Frederick, drummer Matt Terreri and keyboard player Don Harriss — will perform at 6:30 p.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required. There'll be costume contests, performance artists, naughty vixens, handsome devils, zombies and more at this adult Halloween party at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. A full bar and food will be available.
