Carol Ann Henderson Tuesday Aug 30, 2016 at 2:00 AM Carol Ann Henderson passed away peacefully in her sleep the evening of Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the comfort of the Applegate home she loved. Carol was born in Berkeley, Calif. spending her childhood in River Bank and Rio Linda, then moved to Shady Cove in 1958 to graduate from Eagle Point High School in 1960. After attending Shasta Junior College, Carol worked at the Oregon State Capital until marrying Dewey Henderson in 1963. She has since continued living in the Rogue Valley where she has enjoyed lifelong friends, the great outdoors, and playing music. Carol served as a dedicated employee of the Eagle Point School District and U.S. West Dex. Carol is survived by her two sisters, Bonnie and Sharon; her three sons; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her thoughtful and generous actions have become an inspiration for many who knew her. The sound of her voice and music will be greatly missed. A public celebration of life will be held for Carol at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Del Rio Vineyards in Gold Hill, Ore. Carol’s family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to the Rogue River Community Center.
