In a remote area eight miles from Lake Creek, the blaze had jumped from 100 acres Thursday night to more than 200 Friday morning. A wind storm whipping through the area around 2 a.m. fanned flames over fire lines, said Dave Wells, fire information officer for Oregon Department of Forestry. Full containment, which was originally expected today at 7 p.m., was pushed back to 7 p.m. Sunday, Wells said. Seventy additional firefighters joined the ranks at Lost Lake to help dig wider fire lines Friday night and to burn any small patches of vegetation between the lines and the main fire, Wells said. The fire is expected to reach 250 acres once contained, he added. The county’s seven other wildfires held steady Friday. The following is a complete list of ongoing fires throughout the region: Jackson County Squire fire Approximately 2,800 acres, two miles southeast of Ruch. Evacuation plan lifted. Twenty-three engines, 380 firefighters, seven bulldozers, 10 water-hauling trucks. Estimated 95 percent contained. Full containment expected Sunday, 7 p.m. Wall Creek fire 341 acres, eight miles north of Trail. No significant threat to homes. Eleven engines, 311 firefighters, six bulldozers, nine water-hauling trucks. Estimated 60 percent contained. Full containment expected Sunday, noon. Lost Lake fire 212 acres, eight miles southeast of Lake Creek. No structures threatened. Four engines, 270 firefighters, three bulldozers, four water-hauling trucks. Estimated 20 percent contained. Full containment expected 7 p.m. Sunday. Neil Rock fire 198 acres near Sams Valley. No structures threatened. Staffing and equipment details unavailable. Secured with fire lines. No restrictions on visitors to the park. One helicopter, 50 firefighters, one water-hauling truck. All fires secured with fire lines. Josephine County Biscuit Complex 2,400 acres in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness. No structures threatened. Three helicopters, six engines, 218 firefighters. No estimate of containment. Lake County Toolbox Complex 52,660 acres, 10 miles southeast of Silver Lake. Four residents evacuated, structures threatened but none burned. Two helicopters, 1,000 firefighters, 31 engines, 40 bulldozers, 15 water-hauling trucks. Estimated 15 percent contained. Winter fire 30,100 acres, 10 miles west of Paisley. Residents in the Ana Reservoir area near Summer Lake advised to evacuate, 60 homes threatened, five outbuildings burned. Four helicopters, 781 firefighters, 30 engines, 14 bulldozers, 13 water-hauling trucks. Estimated 30 percent contained. Grizzly Complex 6,200 acres, 15 miles west of Lakeview. No structures immediately threatened. Two helicopters, 322 firefighters, 18 engines, nine bulldozers, five water-hauling trucks. Estimated 30 percent contained. Douglas County Tiller Complex 2,127 acres, 50 miles southeast of Roseburg. 40 structures threatened, evacuation plan in place. Fourteen engines, 585 firefighters, four bulldozers, 13 water-hauling trucks. No estimate of containment. Siskiyou County, Calif. Mussolini fire 3,260 acres, five miles from Weed, Calif. No structures threatened. Fire vehicles and 650 firefighters released. Secured with fire lines.
