Bonanza won the boys team title (104), while Lakeview used three individual wins by freshman Keli Hall to take the girls title with 123 points. In boys, Cascade Christian finished third (74) and St. Mary’s was sixth (52). The Crusader girls finished third (85) and the Challengers were sixth (42½ ). Clark won the 200 in a time of 23.3 seconds and the 110 hurdles at 15.6. Clark also ran a leg on Challenger relay teams that finished second and third. Advertisement The Cascade boys 4x400 relay (3:36.1) had a runner-up finish with Clark, David Henry, Josh Heidegger and Nate Lee. Tom Anderson, Jordan Ockunzzi and Ben Cummings were the other runners on Cascade’s third-place 4x100 relay (47.7). Seus outran Cascade Christian junior Lee to win the 1,500. Seus’ winning time was 4:27.3, while Lee came in second at 4:32.1. Seus completed his double with a 42-second victory in the 3,000 (9:48.8). Seus also ran a leg along with Max Miller, Mike Delgado and Ryan Greene on the Crusaders’ third-place 4x400 relay . St. Mary’s Tim Kirkpatrick’s win in the 100 (11.2) provided the only other local boys victory. Second-place finishes were turned in by Cascade Christian’s Jordan Burchfiel in the discus (125-9), Lee in the 800 (2:05.6) and Miller in the 400 (52.6). In girls, Liz Tribelhorn had a big day. The St. Mary’s senior won the 800 (2:29.5), finished second in the 400 (1:05) and ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay and the second-place 4x100 team. The Crusaders posted season-best times in both relays. The 4x400 team also had Mia Rawson, Sophia Palosaari and Megan Frankel. Cascade Christian won the short relay (54.2) with Megan Beard, Sarah Brown, Christina Muswieck and Jenna Ryan. St. Mary’s runner-up team consisted of Palosaari, Rawson, Isabel Keller and Tribelhorn. St. Mary’s got surprising performances out of sophomore Lindsay Gasik and freshman Brittany Martin, who finished first and second, respectively, in the 3,000 with season best times. Gasik won with a mark of 12:44, while Martin’s time was 13:03.9. Cascade Christian’s Beard took second in the 1,500 (5:43.8), while Rawson finished second in the 100 (13.5). Class 1A SKYLINE A DISTRICT MEET — At Coos Bay, New Hope Christian used a strong showing in the middle- and long-distance races to pull away for the boys team title in the 10-school event. New Hope scored 170 points, while Gilchrist was second with 104. The Warriors picked up wins by senior Daniel Bowdoin in the 800 (2:05.84) and 1,500 (4:21.68), junior Steven Hames in the 400 (53.25) and junior Michael Mrkvicka in the 3,000 (9:47.77). Additionally, Josh Cunningham finished second in the 800 and third in the 3,000 and Mrkvicka grabbed second in the 1,500. New Hope senior Michael Wilkinson won the long jump (20-8¼ ) and finished fourth in the 100. The Warriors also won the 4x400 relay (3:43.01) with Ben Bowdoin, Cunningham, Hames and Daniel Bowdoin. New Hope’s Justin Fudge finished second in the 100, 200 and triple jump. In girls, New Hope senior Sierra Heater won the 100 hurdles (18.25), long jump (15-2½ ) and finished third in the 300 hurdles. Gilchrist won the girls title with 123 points. New Hope placed seventh with 50.
