The Jackson County Sheriff's Department reported that the family of six, ages ranging from eight to 84, had become trapped on their property in the 7100 block of Wagner Creek Road after debris clogged a nearby culvert, causing their driveway to be completely washed out. Authorities say deputies and SAR volunteers used a tracked side-by-side all-terrain vehicle to remove the family via a neighboring property. Sheriff's officials say the family was concerned about staying in their home because the 84-year-old needed special medical care.
