Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Advertisement Email Story to a Friend September 13, 2004 Road projects across region set this week The following Oregon Department of Transportation work is scheduled for the Rogue Valley area in the coming week: Interstate 5 Exit 14, Highway 66 (south Ashland interchange): Striping of highway and other general work will continue Monday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Interstate traffic using exit 14 should watch for traffic control and intermittent delays. Drivers should reduce speed, watch for heavy equipment and use caution. Project is scheduled for completion not later than October. I-5 Exit 30 (north Medford interchange): Crews will work on and around the Interstate 5 exit 30 median. Motorists should watch for traffic delays both northbound and southbound. Poplar Drive-Hilton Road intersection is scheduled to reopen Wednesday. Roadway construction continues on Poplar Drive and at the Oregon Highway 62 intersection through September. Motorists should watch for traffic control and expect delays up to 20 minutes. Project completion is scheduled for October 2005. I-5 Exit 48, Rogue River Bridge: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the construction zone. Advertisement I-5 Exit 33, Pine Street, Central Point: Traffic is now switched to new Jackson County structure, and deck overlay preparation work will begin shortly on existing structure. The roadway is narrowed to one lane in each direction on Pine Street. Motorists can expect continued moderate to heavy congestion from I-5 ramps eastbound across the Bear Creek structure, through the Penninger Road intersection and across the bridge. Motorists are advised to proceed carefully and avoid distractions that could lead to rear-end collisions. Highway 238, downtown Jacksonville: Construction will continue Monday. Miscellaneous construction activities are continuing at various locations in the construction zone. Project completion is scheduled for Sept. 30. Highway 234, downtown Gold Hill: Construction crews will be at the south (bridge) end of the project. Flaggers will direct traffic on a 24-hour basis. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained through Gold Hill during construction. Motorists should watch for traffic control and reduce their speed. This project is scheduled for completion this month. Highway 99, from Charlotte Anne Road in Medford to Colver Road in Talent: Crews are active along the shoulder of the highway. Motorists should watch for traffic control and lane closures. This project is scheduled for completion on Dec. 31.
