Ashland (1-1) trailed 7-1 after three innings and 7-5 heading into the sixth, when it pushed across four runs. Killeen’s hit to left-center field was lost in the lights by a South Medford outfielder. Luke Janush went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs to lead Ashland’s 14-hit attack in the nightcap. Lewis Sebrell, Max Gordon and Mike Schulters each added two hits for the Pilots. Jared Smith had a big day for South Medford. He went 5-for-9 in the two games, with two doubles, a triple, three runs and three RBIs.
