Vikes beat storm and Mustangs KLAMATH FALLS -- Willie Wallace came up big for Mazama, tallying three hits and three RBIs in adverse weather to lead the Vikings to a 4-3 league win over Hidden Valley. "Based on the weather situation today, it was a good and exciting game to watch," Mazama coach Jeff Sturgeon said. "Hidden Valley played well." In the pivotal sixth inning, Mazama's Keenon Montsbeoca led off with a pinch-hit double and later advanced to third on a Brad Vest ground ball. Montsbeoca came in to score the winning run on Wallace's two-out single. "Willie Wallace had been struggling in the last few games, but today he had a chance to step up," Sturgeon said. Nelson held the Mustangs to six hits, while tallying four strikeouts and two walks. Ryan Wilson led Hidden Valley with two hits.
