The Loggers took the correct path. Having lost the first set, 21-25, the Loggers trailed 21-24 when T’Neal Myers took over serving. She served five points for a 26-24 win, then Butte Falls rattled off two more victories, 25-14 and 25-19, to claim the match. “As a team,” said Loggers coach Skylar Harrington, “they did a tremendous job just coming together and developing a sense of awareness of coming back in that second game. They encouraged each other and were loud. The overall team play made a huge difference in the last three sets.” Myers, a sophomore outside hitter, had five aces in the match, and senior middle blocker Raleigh Weaver amassed 18 kills for Butte Falls, which is 4-2. For Rogue River, Courtney Sakraida had seven kills, 14 digs and two aces and Brianna Morales 11 digs and seven assists. Bella Dodson added 14 digs, Jazmien Blank 11 digs and Destiny Rangle 10 digs. Girls soccer BLANCHET CATHOLIC 2, CASCADE CHRISTIAN 1: At Salem, Cascade Christian’s Makenzie Hickman managed to knot the score at 1-all in the 66th minute, but Blanchet Catholic took control with a goal just two minutes later in the nonleague match. The Challengers (2-3) trailed Blanchet 1-0 at halftime after Emily Collier scored just two minutes into the contest. Catarina Zeliz scored the go-ahead goal for Blanchet.
