Joseph Richard “Rich” Halliday, Jr. Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Feb. 1, 2015 at 2:00 AM Posted Feb. 1, 2015 at 2:00 AM » Social News Joseph Richard Rich Halliday, Jr. Rich Halliday, 65, of Grants Pass passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at his home. He was born October 14, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Joseph R. Halliday, Sr. and Elenora (Coppler) Halliday. He grew up in Los Altos, Calif. Rich proudly served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant, and was stationed in North Carolina and Japan. He later became a Design Engineer in corporate construction for Hewlett-Packard, and supervised projects in many foreign countries. After retiring from HP, he worked for Josephine County as a Property/Facilities Manager. In 2004, Rich married his love Dayna Denmark, and they made their home in Grants Pass. A true outdoorsman, Rich's adventures included completing the Rubicon, fishing in remote parts of Alaska, and hunting with friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Dayna; his mother, Elenora Halliday; daughter, Jennifer (Eric) VanMoorlehem; granddaughters, Claire and Emily VanMoorlehem; siblings, Lee (Kevin) Grayson, David (Kathy) Halliday, and Lynn (Ed) Roussell. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Halliday, Sr. The family will gather for a celebration of life at a future date. Donations in Rich's memory can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
