Allred wins Pepperdine golf tourney SOMIS, Calif. - Former Ashland High and current Pepperdine University golfer Jason Allred won the Pepperdine Invitational golf tournament on Tuesday with a three-day total of even-par 216. Allred had rounds of 74, 67 and 75 over the demanding par-72 course that featured narrow fairways and fast greens. Fresno State's Jonathan Echols finished second with a 218 and Randy Creighton of Las Vegas was third with a 219. Pepperdine also won the team total with a 10-over par total of 874. Fresno State was second at 891, Colorado State took third at 899 and San Diego State finished fourth at 902.
