Is this true? -- Diane F., Medford Allow us to put an end to this vicious rumor, Diane. Not only can the Medford Fire Department crews handle the roundabout, they also helped design it, said Chief Brian Fish. "We were involved in the planning," Fish said. "We went out there and took some measurements to make sure even our largest trucks can make it through OK." One problem fire crews are seeing with the roundabout is people not obeying the 15 mph speed limit. The fire department's Highland Drive station sits near the roundabout and speeding cars can suddenly find a fire truck pulling in front of them on the way to an emergency, Fish said.
