Hunter will receive his Eagle Scout award in a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Highway, Medford. To qualify for Scouting's highest honor, Hunter, a senior at Cascade Christian High School who is with Troop 7, had to earn at least 21 merit badges and complete a major project. His project involved repairing one wall ball court and building another at Grace Christian school, where he attended. He also repaired other play areas at the school. He was assisted by Scoutmasters Rick Moir, Stan Solmonson and Clark Wheeler and he received donations from Parr Lumber, Glidden Paint Center and Hubbard's Hardware. Hunter attended several summer and merit badge camps and served in various positions of responsibility within his troop. He previously was a member of Cub Scout Pack 100, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Travis Jackson.
