Two people from Central Point were arrested Wednesday, and there are more suspects, police say. The girl, 16, went to the Medford Police Department with several photos depicting her engaging in sexually explicit conduct with men while she was passed out at a party last summer at a home in the 200 block of West Gregory Road in Central Point, Medford police Sgt. Tim Doney said. An acquaintance apparently gave the photographs to the girl. Police on Wednesday arrested Dominic Bauer, 24, and a 16 year-old boy in connection with the investigation. Bauer faces charges of using a child in a depiction of sexually explicit conduct, first-degree encouragement of child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on more than $1 million bail. The youth was lodged in juvenile hall on charges of second-degree encouragement of sexual abuse and possession of child pornography. Bauer’s mother, Tamara Bauer, 42, was cited on a charge of manufacturing marijuana and released after investigators found several marijuana plants growing in her home, Doney said. Doney said police are unsure if the girl was photographed after passing out from alcohol intoxication, or after being given a so-called "date rape drug" like Rohypnol or GHB, which are central nervous system depressants that can easily be added to beverages and ingested unknowingly, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Doney said police have identified other suspects involved in the case.
