A grand opening is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the new location, 7571 Crater Lake Highway. This ReStore will be a satellite facility to the large Medford store, offering discounted new and gently used building remodel items as well as quality home furnishings. The White City store will not be accepting donations at this time. Donations can be dropped at Habitat's Medford location, 2233 S. Pacific Highway. Donors can also call 541-773-9095 to schedule a pickup. Habitat’s ReStore accepts and re-sells donations of materials such as interior and exterior doors, roofing, double-paned windows, sinks, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, vanities, siding, insulation vents, ceiling tile, ceramic tile, tubs, shower stalls, plumbing, lighting, tools, ceiling fans, fixtures, lawn and garden supplies, fencing, furnaces, air conditioning units, appliances and other building materials and supplies. Pickup service is available for large items and donations are tax deductible. Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that builds affordable homes in partnership with those in need. Houses are built using volunteer labor, donated materials and services from the community. At completion, each house is sold with a no-interest mortgage, with low monthly payments. The income each month is used toward the next construction project. Since its start in 1987, Habitat for Humanity Rogue Valley has built 57 homes with over 400 family members, almost 300 of whom are children, in Jackson County.
