Volunteer training set for weekend Community Works is offering crisis intervention volunteer training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Medford. Community members interested in volunteering are invited to learn communication skills and experience the rewards of volunteer work while helping those in need. Community Works helps about 30,000 individuals and families each year. In fiscal year 1999, volunteers contributed 34,374 hours. Volunteer opportunities are available for the following: Dunn House, Rape Crisis, HelpLine, TeenLine, Family Focus, the Personal Safety Program, The Grove, The Street Outreach Program, the Youth Diagnostic Shelter and Community Counseling Services.
