Grants Pass won the team title with 252½ points, more than 57 points ahead of runner-up South Medford. The Cavemen sent seven wrestlers to the championship finals. North Medford earned two of the three outstanding wrestler awards, as Jon Ulrey won the 119-pound title and Chris Platt won the 171-pound title. North Valley’s Zach Giesen was named the top middleweight after winning the 160-pound title. Adam Dezwart (112) and Dan Swift (152) were both champions for South Medford. Tim Endecott of North Medford earned a pin in 5:57 over Brookings’ Morgan Kocher to win the heavyweight title. GLIDE INVITATIONAL — At Glide, Henley placed seven wrestlers among the top three finishers to take fourth-place at the nine-team tournament. Cody Jackson won a title at 112 pounds and Pat Noonan placed first at 215, with Henley also getting second-place efforts from Justin Deese (140) and Shane Bourne (275). Taking third for Henley were Garrett Wade (103), Mike Santos (125) and Casey Cantrell (145). Roseburg’s junior varsity team won the event.
