Juan Gabriel Camacho, 21, of the 300 block of Ogara Street, was being held late Tuesday in the Jackson County Jail on $2 million bail. Police have charged him with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, both crimes that carry mandatory minimum prison sentences of 7 years, 6 months upon conviction. Camacho was arrested in connection with a May 30 robbery that occurred in the 3000 block of Griffin Creek Road. Jackson County sheriff’s detective Colin Fagan said police suspect Camacho and another man drove the victim, described as an "older man," to the location where they robbed him at gunpoint. The robbers took about $1,000 from the victim before driving away from the scene, Fagan said. Police are still seeking the second robbery suspect, Fagan said. Camacho was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of first-degree theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was free on bail Tuesday when deputies caught up to him.
