Bulldog boxers make the finals RENO � Four Bulldog boxers won semifinal bouts � including one in 10 seconds � in the Ray Tavares Memorial Tournament Saturday, and four others advanced to the championships with byes as the Medford team seeks to defend its title. The Bulldogs are the lone Oregon squad in the 10-team field. The others are from Nevada and California. The highlight of the semifinals was a 10-second stop by Homero Gonzalez in the senior 147-pound division. Other winners were Alan Silva, 8-9-year-old, 55-pound division, with a decision over John Auer of Reno; Troy Wohosky, 15-16, 125, with a decision over Bobby Garcia of Reno; and Salvador Regaldo, senior, 132, with a decision over Evarardo Avalos of Reno. Other Bulldogs in title bouts are Cody Kelly, 10-11, 75; Javier Torres, 11-12, 112; Alex Trujillo, 15-16, 147; and Lionel Leon, senior 132.
