William Matthew Fath, of Trail, is scheduled to appear June 5 in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment filed Monday charging him with first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree burglary, seven counts of first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. Ross Andresen, of Prospect, is scheduled to be arraigned the same day on an indictment charging first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree burglary, three counts of first-degree theft, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. According to police documents, investigators believe Fath, 25, and Andresen, 26, stole about $142,000 worth of firearms, collectibles and cash from their former landlord's Prospect home in June 2014. After the victim identified Fath and his brother Gerald as suspects, Gerald Fath admitted to deputies he had been storing the stolen property near his trailer, a police affidavit said. Gerald Fath pleaded guilty March 18 to a charge of first-degree theft in connection with the June 2014 burglary, but William Fath denied knowledge of the crimes. Deputies later allegedly connected him and Andresen to a Feb. 7 burglary on Red Blanket Road, the affidavit said. Deputies found stolen property from that burglary at Andresen's home April 8, along with a chainsaw stolen in November 2014 from a U.S. Forest Service compound on Highway 62, the court records state. Deputies later identified jewelry and rare coins William Fath allegedly had given his friends as having been taken during the June 2014 burglary in Prospect. They served a search warrant April 10 at his motorhome, where they allegedly found additional stolen property, according to the affidavit. A third man who had been living at Andresen's trailer, 32-year-old Nathan Vobora, was arrested April 7 after deputies allegedly connected him to the theft of a generator and other equipment from a Pacific Power construction site at the Red Blanket Creek dam. According to an affidavit filed in Vobora's case, Pacific Power representatives told deputies the theft had caused more than $1,000 in delay costs. Vobora was arraigned May 6 on an indictment charging first-degree theft, possession of oxycodone and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
