Thede, Stock lift Falcons past Mustangs KLAMATH FALLS � Nick Thede and Brian Stock each smacked two-run home runs to lead Klamath Falls past the Medford Mustangs, 13-3, in a non-conference American Legion baseball game Wednesday at Kiger Stadium. The Mustangs jumped to an early 2-0 lead after two innings but Klamath Falls answered with two runs of its own in the third to even the score. Stock blasted his roundtripper during a seven-run fourth inning that helped put the game away. Thede�s shot came during a four-run sixth. Ken Halpin went 2-for-4 with a solo blast in the fifth inning, while Dan Bruce also added two hits in four at-bats. Thede had two hits and four RBIs while Stock also added two hits to go along with three RBIs. The two teams square off again tonight at 6:30 in another non-league contest at Miles Field. Newmann singled with two outs, stole second and scored the game-winner on an error. In the opener, Jesse Stevenson went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, including a two-run single during a six-run, second-inning for the Royals. Scott Stockton also had two hits for North Jackson (2-0).
