Ductless heat pump workshop Wednesday Monday Oct 23, 2017 at 3:12 PM Oct 23, 2017 at 3:12 PM Rogue Valley residents can learn about and purchase discounted ductless heat pump systems as part of a community-based, energy-efficiency campaign called Energize Rogue. Ductless heat pumps use 25 to 50 percent less energy than traditional electric heating systems, heat spaces more evenly and provide air conditioning in summer, according to a press release. Customers of Pacific Power and city of Ashland Municipal Utility also are eligible for rebates if they are upgrading from another electric heating system. Tax credits and other incentives can help make the installations affordable. Residents and businesses interested in installing a ductless heat pump can attend a one-hour community workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett St., in downtown Medford.  After the workshop, participants will be eligible to receive a community discount by joining the group purchase. The workshop is free and open to the public.
