I moved here from the Bay Area last fall, so this is my first year at North Medford. In addition to playing softball, I also have had many years of hip-hop, ballet, and jazz experience. When you're in the on-deck circle, what do you focus on? I focus on timing the pitch and breaking down my swinging mechanics . Apart from your own, what's your favorite field to play on and why? I've only played on two other fields besides Fagone, but I enjoyed playing on the Grants Pass field because it was all turf and it was new and totally different for me. Advertisement What's your personal highlight in sports? Last softball season, my team was 29-2, where I played shortstop every inning of the season with only one error and was named first-team all-league. If you could change something about high school sports, what would it be? It would be nice to see more fans come to watch us play because we put on a fabulous show! What's your favorite school subject and why? Math is my favorite subject because I am good at problem solving. What do you see yourself doing in 10 years? Living in a gorgeous, busy city with a super successful and happy career and personal life!! Paulina Swenson is a junior on the North Medford softball team.
