Jeremy Markiewicz, chief deputy district attorney for Jackson County, said he expects to have all the diagrams and other related data so he can release information by mid-July. The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. May 19, a Tuesday, in the 5200 block of North River Road, just south of the Murphy Plywood mill. Rogue River police said the school bus, which was traveling toward town, for unknown reasons crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the semi-truck. Morgan, a 39-year-old mother of two from Wimer, died at the scene. Her only passenger, 75-year-old bus monitor Gary Randolph, was seriously injured, as was truck driver Mark Minegar. Minegar, 57, has returned to his home in Rogue River. Randolph, who also is from Rogue River, was released Thursday from a local rehabilitation center in Grants Pass. Jackson County's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (STAR) recently turned its report over to the District Attorney's Office in Medford. That report also was provided to the Rogue River Police Department, which turned its own report over to the D.A., as well. A representative of the Rogue River Police Department told the Daily Courier it can't release any further information about the crash until the District Attorney's Office issues a final report. "I'm just waiting for it to be releasable," she said. First Student, the Midwest-based company that employs local school-bus drivers, hasn't responded to recent calls for information, although a spokeswoman has said Morgan had worked for the company since 2010. Neither the company nor the Rogue River School District has disclosed where the bus was going to or coming from at the time of the crash. Facebook chatter indicates the driver had completed her morning bus route, which included transporting four young students to a local school.
