Ashland police Monday arrested Mercado-Chavez on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on more than $1 million bail. Drugs — Valerie Ann Michaels, 41, of the 3000 block of Jenero Court, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Michaels on charges of possession of heroin and second-degree trespass. She was lodged in jail and released. Drugs — Lacee Rae Kinghorn, 23, of the 2000 block of Rogue River Highway, Gold Hill. Medford police Monday arrested Kinghorn on charges of possession of heroin and second-degree trespass. She was lodged in jail and released. Assault — Richard James Boyko, 25, of the 1000 block of West 12th Street, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Boyko on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, strangulation and harassment. He was lodged Monday in jail on $525,000 bail. Assault — Shad Allen Vaughn, 29, of the 1800 block of Marys Way, Central Point. Medford police Sunday arrested Vaughn on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged Monday in jail and released. Aggravated theft — Tanner Ray Sowell, 32, of the 100 block of Daryl Lane, Eagle Point. Sowell made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree aggravated theft, first-degree theft and second-degree trespassing. He was booked in jail and released. Drugs — Angelina Roseanna Victorino, 27, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Victorino on charges of possession of cocaine and on a warrant for failing to appear on a previous drug charge. She was lodged in jail without a listed bail. Crime reports Theft — 500 block of North Holly Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 3:36 p.m. Monday of the theft of a truck trailer, a gas water heater and scrap metal from a residence.
