Oregon game not televised Today's University of Oregon home football game against Arizona State will not be televised in the Rogue Valley. A spokesman for Falcon Cable TV said the game simply is not available locally. The UO game is on radio, on KCMX (580-AM). The availability of UO telecasts varies from week to week, said Ron Hren, regional manager for Falcon in Medford. The ABC network has first rights to Pac-10 Conference games and picks one each week, which airs locally on KDRV-TV, Channel 12, in Medford. If ABC does not air the Oregon game, rights to bid for it go to other stations and networks, in a certain descending order, said Hren. Other broadcast stations can bid first. If they don't want the game, then Fox Sports Northwest, seen here on Falcon 45, can bid for it. "If Fox Sports Northwest does not carry the game, then Oregon Sports Network, an organization affiliated with the UO, may provide the game to us," said Hren. This week, it didn't. At 12:30 p.m. today, the same time the Ducks contest is played, KDRV is carrying the game that ABC will provide to it, UCLA at Washington. And Fox Sports Northwest went with Tulane at Army. Other games are available on pay-per-view, but again the Oregon game isn't one of them. Today's Sports Index Mail Tribune Copyright The Mail Tribune 1998, Medford,
