The program offers grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to visual artists and arts educators in Southern Oregon. “With the launch of a new website, this is going to help us tremendously in being able to encourage various creative individuals to apply,” said Paige Gerhard, administrator of the Haines & Friends grant program. “In addition to being able to access the application, those who aren’t so familiar with our program can take a look at our archives to gain a deeper understanding about what kinds of projects that we support.” The application period will open Friday, July 1, and close Tuesday, Aug. 30. Grant awards will be announced at the beginning of November. For more information, including an archive of people and projects that have been funded in the past, see hainesandfriends.org .
