Gold Ray Road closed at rail crossing Monday Feb 19, 2015 12:00 AM A A Gold Ray Road will be closed at the rail crossing, near the former Gold Ray Dam site, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, during repairs by the Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad. Jackson County Roads & Parks reported the rail crossing is located at the end of the road's pavement and that the crossing will be impassable during the work. Motorists wishing to access the Rogue River downstream from the railroad work can access Upper River Road via Blackwell Road outside Gold Hill, officials said.
