Authorities do not know the identity of two men captured on tape by a surveillance camera at the Thrifty Nifty Market in the 200 block of West Jackson Street on the evening of Nov. 19. Police believe that after visiting the market, the men were involved in the beating of a man near the intersection of Haven and Woodstock streets. A single gunshot was fired from a handgun during the incident. Medford police investigators later recovered one bullet casing at the scene. Surveillance photos of the suspects ran in the Nov. 25 issue of the Mail Tribune. Medford police and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to phone Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at (800) 3-DETECT (800-333-8328) or the Medford Police Department at 770-4783. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case, or any other unsolved crime. Callers can remain anonymous. The reward is sponsored by Sonitrol of Southern Oregon.
