Lela Reeves, 92, died at Providence Medford Medical Center from injuries she sustained in the crash that occurred around 8 p.m., Oregon State Police said. The driver, Lonnie Reeves of Trail, 77, was listed in fair condition at Providence. Lonnie Reeves was driving a four-door Lincoln that made a left turn from Highway 234 onto Highway 62 in front of a Chrysler PT Cruiser, Oregon State Police Sgt. Kevin Myers said. Michelle Guinn, 41, of Shady Cove, was driving the PT Cruiser and did not suffer any injuries. OSP, the Oregon Department of Transportation and Fire District No. 3 responded to the crash. An OSP trooper cited Lonnie Reeves for failure to obey a traffic control device. Although he stopped at the stop sign, he failed to yield to Guinn’s Cruiser. Lonnie Reeves was tested for drugs and alcohol, but Myers said they were not a factor in the crash. All three people involved were wearing seat belts.
