Medford man, 45, faces kidnapping charges A Medford man was arrested early Sunday morning on kidnapping charges after allegedly locking a woman in his home against her will. According to Medford police, the woman was visiting a man at his Haven Street home when he decided to leave, locking the door behind him with an exterior padlock. He later returned and unlocked the door but is accused of assaulting her and holding a knife to her throat, Sgt. Gary Bates said. She eventually convinced him to take her to a hotel where a friend of hers was staying and let her go. Police arrested 45-year-old Carlton George Olison of 1510 Haven St. on charges of first-degree kidnapping, fourth-degree assault and menacing. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $1,008,000 bail. The woman suffered bruises and scratches but no serious injuries, police said.
