Can you explain when the project will be done, and why it has slowed so dramatically? — Taro B., Medford Since You Asked Headquarters just received three questions on this topic this week, Taro, so you’re not alone in your concerns. Medford Public Works Director Cory Crebbin said that slope issues, unforeseen utility issues, and storm-water issues at the south end of the project have required additional design work. "The contractor did essentially all the work they could without the additional design, then had to wait for (the design) to be completed. The design modifications were finished and sent to the contractor in the last week of January, so work should commence again shortly," said Crebbin. "The rumors that the street was built in the wrong location have persisted to the point of being legend in spite of the actual fact that the street is built exactly where it was designed to be built," he said. So hang in there, folks, it won’t be long before the road will be more traveled and you’ll be able to take it. Send questions to "Since You Asked," Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
