SOU wrestlers finish 13th at Reno tourney RENO, Nevada - Mike Whitehead finished eighth at 285 pounds on Thursday as the Southern Oregon University wrestlers finished 13th at the Reno Tournament of Champions. Missouri placed first at the tournament - which featured 15 schools, most of them Division I - while Oklahoma State took second. "This is stepping it up a notch, definitely," said SOU coach Mike Ritchey of the tournament's competition. "It's a jump up from what we are used to seeing, but we held our own." Whitehead, a former Crater High standout, finished with a 3-2 record and recorded a 2-1, overtime upset win over Boise State's Bo Ruston to reach the quarterfinals. His only two losses were to eventual second-place finisher Jack Leffler of Central Michigan and Eric Webb of Oregon. Nolan Harris was second on the Raiders in wins with two at 125.
